I absolutely loved reading about your granny. I’m sorry for the pain of loss but I was lifted by learning of the love and connection you so clearly shared. I also really appreciated a slightly different perspective on dementia. Perhaps we need to allow people to become children again and be happy for the love and joy they can find there, as challenging as it is for everyone involved. 911 is also an absolute banger. Thanks MJ! My other grandmother also had dementia and her personality also changed, but in a sadder and darker way. If I get dementia I hope I get the kind Granny did, where she just assumed she was on holiday if she didn’t recognise her surroundings 😅
